Flakes Production

Technological lines for flake production are included in the groats production lines offered by our company as the final stage of processing. Such lines make it possible to obtain flakes from different groats on the same equipment set, however, as practice shows, oat flakes production prevails in the structure of this product production.

The process of getting grain flakes consists of the following stages:

1. Steaming groats by continuous steamer.
2. Next, the groats are placed in a milling machine.
3. In a fluidized bed cereal dryer, the resulting flakes are dried and cooled.
4. Quality control of finished flakes is carried out by sifting them in a special flake sifter to separate lumps, flakes, and to separate, if necessary, into small and large fractions.

The use of steaming and drying operations requires significant expenditure of thermal energy, so the high profitability of cereal flakes production is largely provided by the heat obtained by burning buckwheat, oat or millet husks.
