Laboratory Hectoliter Meter OLISLAB 5200
Purpose and scope:
Laboratory hectoliter meter OlisLab 5200 (with a falling weight), a modernized version of the hectoliter meter PKh-2, is designed to determine the bulk density (weight in one liter) of grain.
With the help of the device, a direct method for determining the bulk density of grain is implemented by weighing the grain which fits in containers with a known volume.
When using a 1 liter container, adopted in European countries, the term “mass per hectoliter” is used, which is determined in g / l or in kg / hl.
It is used at grain-receiving, grain processing, feed, oil extraction, bakery and other food enterprises, variety testing breeding stations, research laboratories and inspection companies.
Scope of application: for standardized determination of the bulk density of grain according to GOST 10840:2019 (GOST 10840 2017, IDT) “Grain. Description:
Hectoliter meter consists of a case, a measuring cylinder, a filler cylinder, a filling cylinder, a falling weight, a knife, a lock.
The principle of operation is based on measuring the mass of the product (grain), which fits in a graduated cylinder with a capacity of 1 liter. To ensure the required accuracy of the method, the device has three grain cylinders that are installed one above the other: the grain filling cylinder (upper), the filler cylinder and the measuring cylinder (lower). The grain, cleared of impurities, is first placed in the grain filling cylinder, which has a funnel with a latch. When the valve is opened, the grain, under the action of gravitational forces, is poured into the filler cylinder, at the bottom of which the falling weight is installed, resting on the knife inserted into the slot of the measuring cylinder. When removing the knife, the load, together with the grain, falls into the measuring cylinder, then the knife is inserted into the slot until it stops against the wall of the measuring cylinder. The rest of the grain is removed, and the measuring cylinder with the grain is weighed and the bulk density of the grain is determined.
