OLIS has built an oat processing plant with a capacity of 60 metric tons per day in the Kyiv region
A new oat processing plant has begun operations in the village of Shevchenkove in the Kyiv region; its core technology is a complete grain processing line manufactured by OLIS with a capacity of 60 metric tons of raw material per day. The project was implemented by OLIS on a “turnkey” basis for Ukrbakaliya Company LLC as part of the USAID Agricultural and Rural Development Program (AGRO).
A Comprehensive Solution for Industrial Oat Processing
The new plant provides a complete technological cycle for oat processing—from the preparation of raw grain to the production of finished oat flakes.
The plant’s design capacity is up to 34 metric tons of finished oat flakes per day. Thanks to the implementation of a modern production complex, the plant has been able to optimize its production processes, reduce energy consumption, and increase output.
The results of the new production facility already confirm the effectiveness of the project: the plant has produced over 1,300 metric tons of finished products, of which 614 metric tons were exported to countries in Europe and the Middle East.
Ukrainian Technologies for International Markets
The plant’s launch marked an important step in the development of Ukraine’s grain processing industry. The new facility not only produces high-value-added products but also expands opportunities for cooperation with Ukrainian agricultural producers by providing an additional sales channel for locally grown oats.
Boris Shestopalov, CEO of HD-group—which includes Ukrbakalia LLC—highlighted the importance of engineering support and partnership during project implementation:
“When implementing such projects, we evaluate not individual machines, but a partner’s ability to ensure the operation of the entire production complex. That is why engineering expertise, a willingness to take responsibility for the outcome, and professional support at every stage of implementation were decisive factors for us. Various operational issues arose during the launch, but the OLIS team consistently demonstrated a willingness to work with the client to find solutions. It is precisely this approach that builds trust and forms the foundation of a long-term partnership.”
OLIS also emphasizes that implementing comprehensive grain processing projects involves not only supplying equipment but also taking responsibility for the technological outcome and the efficient operation of the entire facility.
“Every new grain processing plant that launches in Ukraine is proof that Ukrainian businesses continue to invest in processing, create high-value-added products, and confidently enter international markets. It is particularly important to us that these enterprises are built on the foundation of Ukrainian OLIS technologies, which ensure consistent product quality and meet the requirements for high-quality and safe food production,” said Volodymyr Cheglatonev, Acting CEO of OLIS.
OLIS — Comprehensive Solutions for the Grain Processing Industry
Today, OLIS’s technological solutions are used in Ukraine and dozens of countries around the world. The company designs and manufactures equipment for grain cleaning and processing, develops comprehensive technological solutions for mills and cereal processing plants, and manages projects from technology development through to the commissioning of facilities.
A new oat processing plant in the Kyiv region is yet another example of how the Ukrainian machine-building industry contributes to the development of the modern processing industry and helps Ukrainian companies enter international markets.
