Borghi SPR is an automatic sampler on a monorail system for representative sampling of grain, oilseeds, legumes, and other bulk materials from trucks. Unlike samplers with a fixed arm, the SPR moves along the receiving area and can cover two receiving lanes with a single piece of equipment.
This solution is designed for elevators, grain storage facilities, and grain processing plants with heavy truck traffic, where fast unloading, representative sampling, and automated quality control are essential.
What is the Borghi SPR for?
The sampler is used to control the quality of grains, oilseeds, legumes, and other bulk materials during receipt.
By moving along a monorail, a single sampler can cover a wide receiving area. The operator positions the arm over the required vehicle, after which the probe is lowered to a specified point on the vehicle’s body and takes a sample.
After sampling, the material is automatically transported to the laboratory via a pneumatic system.
Monorail system
The main feature of the Borghi SPR is the sampler’s movement along a monorail. The design with three supports spaced 5.1 m apart, allows the machine to move along the receiving area.
The arm’s 340° rotation angle enables work with two receiving lanes, and the 4.42 m sampling radius provides access to various areas of the truck bed.
Automatic sample collection and transport
The telescopic arm positions the sampling probe at the desired point on the vehicle body. After sampling, the sample goes into the pneumatic system and is transported directly to the laboratory.
The pneumatic transport distance is up to 10 m in the standard configuration and up to 100 m with optional equipment.
Once the sampling operation is complete, the sampler automatically returns to its starting position.
There are four types of probes available for the Borghi SPR:

Controls and accessories
Borghi SPR is supplied with an electrical control cabinet and a hydraulic unit. For remote control and visual monitoring, there can be used a wireless remote control, a remote control with a display and a camera, or a separate video camera.
Low-temperature oil is available for operation at low temperatures. Extended transport hoses and cables can be installed if necessary.
