Automatic Sampler Borghi SP
Borghi SP is an automatic sampler used for representative sampling of grains, oilseeds, legumes, and other bulk materials from trucks and wagons.
The sampler automates the collection and pneumatic transport of samples directly to the laboratory. This reduces the time required for grain receipt, minimizes manual labor, and limits the impact of human error on the sampling process.
What is the Borghi SP for?
Borghi SP is used for facilities that need to quickly inspect the quality of large numbers of grain batches upon receipt. The telescopic arm enables the operator to position the sampling probe at various points along the body of a truck or a wagon, then the sampled material is automatically transported to the laboratory.
The sampler can be used for grain and oilseeds, legumes, meal, oilcake, and other bulk materials.
Automatic Sampling
The telescopic arm of Borghi SP reaches up to 4.42 m radius and has a 340° rotation angle, providing access to various areas of the vehicle without having to move it.
After sampling, the sample is pneumatically transported to the laboratory. The standard transport distance is up to 10 m, but can be extended to 100 m if necessary. Once the operation is complete, the arm automatically returns to its starting position.
Four sampling probe options
There are four types of probes available for the Borghi SP:
- aspiration
- double duct
- screw
- window
Controls and Accessories
The sampler is equipped with an electrical control cabinet. For the operator’s convenience, there are a wireless remote control, a remote control with a display and camera, and a separate video camera.
Low-temperature oil is provided for operation in cold regions. There are also extended transport hoses and cables available.
Main Advantages of Borghi SP
The main advantage of the Borghi SP is the automation of the entire sampling process: from positioning the probe to delivering the sample to the laboratory. The operator does not need to manually move between sampling points or transport the sample to the analysis location.
The design with a telescopic arm, a wide rotation angle, and various probe types, makes it possible to adapt the sampler to the conditions of a specific facility. Built-in remote control and video monitoring capabilities further simplify the operator’s work.
Application
Borghi SP is suitable for grain elevators, grain storage facilities, grain processing plants, and oil extraction plants, where it is necessary to quickly take samples during grain receipt and regularly monitor the quality of raw materials.
The use of an automatic sampler is particularly advantageous at facilities with a high volume of truck and wagon traffic, where the speed and consistency of sampling directly affect the receiving station’s performance.
