Turnkey Seed Line for Pulses and Grain: OLIS Has Completed Another Project in Latvia
A new 6-tonne-per-hour seed line has been commissioned in Latvia — another turnkey project completed by OLIS.
As part of the project, OLIS, together with its partner, delivered the full scope of work: engineering, equipment selection and supply, installation works, fabrication of steel structures, line automation, supervision during installation, personnel training, and trial start-up. This implementation format allowed the customer to receive not a set of individual machines, but an integrated technological solution in which all units had been coordinated already at the design stage.
The line is designed to handle wheat, peas, and beans, so special attention during project development was paid to technological flexibility and the precision of processing different crops. The solution includes OLIS equipment, in particular:
- screen cleaner flat-sieve type PSO-100 with the aspiration column KAO-1.0 for high-quality grain cleaning;
- destoners OMP-6;
- two indented cylinder blocks — the indented cylinder ТCK-700, designed to remove short impurities of cockle seeds from the grain of the main crop, and the indented cylinder TCO, designed to remove long impurities of wild oat from the grain of the main crop;
- two gravity separators SPS-3.5, which ensure the cleaning of seed material from hard-to-separate impurities differing from the main grain in shape, surface properties, and volume weight;
- conveying, gravity-flow, and aspiration equipment.
After the line was commissioned, the seed material was inspected by the competent Latvian authority responsible for seed certification and was found to be fully compliant with the established requirements.
It is precisely the turnkey implementation format that is one of the key advantages of projects of this kind. When engineering, equipment supply, installation support, and commissioning are concentrated in the hands of a single manufacturer, the customer receives not only a clearly assembled process solution, but also a significant reduction in the time required to bring the facility into operation.
For OLIS, this project is further confirmation of the company’s stable presence in the Baltic markets and of the demand for integrated technological solutions manufactured in Ukraine within EU countries.
“OLIS equipment is well known in the Baltic markets: in particular, several integrated projects have already been implemented in Latvia with our participation. The launch of this seed line is further confirmation that OLIS technological solutions meet the high quality standards that apply in the EU market. For us, this is not only about exporting equipment, but about the ability of Ukrainian machinery manufacturing to operate in line with the rules and standards of the European market,” said Volodymyr Chehlatoniev, Acting CEO of OLIS.
