NIR analyzer BRUINS AgriCheck Plus

Infrared analyzers BRUINS AgriCheck, AgriCheck XL, AgriCheck PLUS are designed for express measurement of moisture content, protein content, fat content, starch content, fiber content, gluten content, sedimentation index, ash content, amylose content, free fatty acids content and other parameters.

Whole grain: corn, hard and soft wheat, durum, spelt, rye, triticale, barley, oats, rice, sorghum, soybeans, rapeseed, malt.

An additional bowl allows you to analyze grain with high moisture content, small grain samples, as well as small-seeded crops (AgriCheck XL).

Products: wheat, sunflower, rapeseed, flour, semolina, bran, cakes, meals, various feeds, others (AgriCheck PLUS).

The operating principle of the analyzer is based on the detector measuring the amount of infrared light in a certain range (spectrum) of wavelengths specified by the monochromator after its partial absorption by the sample of the analyzed product. The amount of light absorbed by the sample at different wavelengths is directly related to the concentration of chemical functional groups, such as C-H, O-H and N-H. Since the concentrations of functional groups are related to the concentration of chemical substances (water, protein, fat, fiber, etc.), it becomes possible to determine the content of these substances based on pre-established calibrations of the absorption spectra of similar product samples with reference values of quality indicators.

In transmission mode, light penetrates the product located in the bin, is partially absorbed, and partially transmitted diffusely and captured by the detector installed in the cell with the sample of the analyzed product. More effective when analyzing whole grain, which has heterogeneous properties due to its anatomical composition.

In reflection mode (AgriCheck PLUS), light penetrates the product bowl, interacts with it, is partially absorbed, and partially reflected and captured by the detector, which is installed in front of the cell with the analyzed product sample. More effective when analyzing processed products in the form of finished products (cereals, compound feed, etc.) and powders (flour, bran, meals, etc.).

AgriCheck series analyzers are available with three fixed optical beam lengths, which affect the absorption of light by the sample (must be specified when placing an order):

• 18 mm – for wheat, rye, barley, oats;
• 22 mm – for wheat, rice, soybeans;
• 30 mm – for corn, rice, soybeans.

Option (must be specified when placing an order):

• module for measuring the bulk density (natural) of grain;
• module for measuring temperature;
• 7, 18 mm sample cups for analysis of most types of grain, including wheat, rye, barley, oats, rice, soybeans, rapeseed (standard); 25 mm – for corn, soybeans (optional) (AgriCheck XL);

• 48 and 96 mm sample cups – for analysis of flour, ground products and pastes (AgriCheck PLUS).
