Grain NIR-analyzers Infracont SGrain and XGrain
Grain NIR-analyzers Infracont SGrain and XGrain
The infrared analyzers Infracont SGrain and XGrain are used for express analysis of quality indicators of whole grains, grain crops, oilseeds, and flour. Devices operate by near infrared spectroscopy (NIR/NIT) and do not require prior sample preparation.
Depending on the crop and the calibration installed, NIR analyzers Infracont can determine moisture, protein content, gluten, ash, fat and other quality indicators, including the Zeleny index.
Products
Infracont analyzers can be used for quality control:
Grain crops: wheat, barley and other grain crops.
Oilseeds.
Processed products: flour and other products in accordance with installed calibrations.
The analyzers are used in grain production and receiving, storage and trade, flour milling and baking production, pasta production and other areas of grain raw material quality control.
Operation Principle
The operating principle of Infracont analyzers is based on measuring the spectral characteristics of a sample in the near-infrared range.
The devices are spectrophotometers with a scanning grating monochromator and a light-beam transmission system. The obtained spectral data is processed using calibration models, on the basis of which the quality indicators of the product being tested are determined.
The analysis requires no prior sample preparation, which allows quick quality control of grain and flour directly at the facility or in the laboratory.
Infracont SGrain
Infracont SGrain is a portable infrared grain analyzer for rapid determination of quality indicators.
The compact size of the device allows it to be used directly at the sampling point. The analyzer can operate from a 12 V power source, including a car’s on-board electrical system or an external battery.
SGrain has a touchscreen display and a built-in thermal printer, which allows you to print out the analysis results immediately after taking a measurement.
The manufacturer positions the SGrain as a portable analyzer with a scanning grating monochromator and a light transmission system, which ensures high measurement accuracy for devices of this class.
Infracont XGrain
Infracont XGrain is a professional infrared analyzer for grain and flour.
The main difference between the XGrain and the SGrain is the built-in module for determining grain bulk density. It measures the bulk density (test weight) of a sample simultaneously with other quality indicators, without using separate equipment.
XGrain has an 8-inch touchscreen display and a built-in printer for printing measurement results.
Quality Indicators
Depending on the product and the calibration set, Infracont analyzers can detect:
- moisture;
- protein content;
- gluten content;
- ash content;
- fat content;
- Zeleni Index;
- other indicators according to the available calibrations.
Calibrations are available for grain crops, oilseed and flour.
Built-in printer
SGrain and XGrain are equipped with a built-in thermal printer. Measurement results can be printed immediately after the analysis.
They can be used for real-time quality control and grain receipt, when the results need to be immediately recorded on paper. XGrain has a built-in printer as part of the device’s functionality.
InfraCloud
Infracont SGrain and XGrain analyzers are supported by the InfraCloud cloud service.
With an Internet connection, users can access the device remotely from a computer, smartphone, or tablet. Measurement results are stored in a cloud database, which allows users to view the archive and work with the results remotely.
Calibration
The accuracy of quality parameter measurements depends on the appropriate calibration for the specific product.
Infracont uses calibrations for grain crops, oilseed crops, and flour. The set of parameters that can be measured depends on the crop and the selected calibration model.
