Pellet Tester BASTAK 17000 is designed for mechanical impact on pellets when determining Pellet Durability Index (PDI) in order to control production modes and optimize the recipe of the granulation (pelleting) mixture.

The device consists of: base, electric drive, two-chamber eraser with cutters.
The principle of operation of the device consists in the mechanical impact of the cutter and walls of the eraser on granules and pellets during rotation of the eraser for a certain time with following sieving of the granules (pellets) that were subjected to mechanical impact. The sieve with a hole size of 0.75-0.80 × diameter of the pellets should be used for sieving.
