Pellet strength tester KAHL Hercules M / L / XL
It is used in grain processing, compound feed plants, granulation (pelleting) lines, in research laboratories.
The device is available in three variants:
- Hercules M (manual, basic version);
- Hercules L (semi-automatic);
- Hercules XL (automatic).
Hercules M device consists of rotary compression screw; compression spring; piston; cylinder with a measuring scale; persistent heel and tension bolt.
Hercules L device has a manual rotary compression mechanism has been replaced by an electric one.
Hercules XL device is equipped with control panel with a touch screen, measuring part of the device is placed in a protective case and measurements are performed automatically with recording of readings on the panel and possibility of saving them on an external computer.
The principle of operation of the device consists in measuring the compression force at which the pellet is destroyed (the maximum pellet size is 22 mm).
The hardness analyzer is equipped with two replaceable compression springs:
- soft 2.5 mm – for measuring pressure from 0 to 25 kg (in the upper range of measurement scale);
- hard 3.5 mm – for measuring pressure from 0 to 100 kg (in the lower range of the measurement scale).
