On November 6, the Department of Grain Products, Bread, and Confectionery Technologies at Odessa National Technological University held a grand opening ceremony for the educational and research laboratory “Technologies for Grain Production and Hull Removal,” created with the support of OLIS.
To equip the laboratory, OLIS provided more than ten units of modern equipment of its own production, including a line of OLISLAB laboratory devices – laboratory mills, huskers, drying cabinets, quality control devices, physical and mechanical property meters, etc. This equipment allows for comprehensive research into grain processing, from initial cleaning to quality control of finished products.
This will enable students and teachers to gain practical skills in working with modern grain production technologies.
“We are convinced that the training of new generations of technologists should be based on modern engineering solutions. Therefore, it is a great honor for us to contribute to the development of Ukrainian science and support the university that trains specialists for the entire food industry,” said OLIS co-founder, Doctor of Technical Sciences Oleksandr Vereshchynskyi.
The laboratory will serve as a base for training courses, scientific research, and joint projects between OLIS and ONTU, with plans to expand cooperation between the company and the university in the future.
The rector of the university, Larisa Ivanchenkova, thanked OLIS and added:

OLIS has been working on the development and implementation of technological solutions for the grain processing industry for over 20 years, combining industrial engineering and a scientific approach. Supporting educational initiatives is an important part of the company’s mission — to develop Ukrainian agricultural science and shape a generation of engineers who will create the innovations of the future.
