OLIS, a Ukrainian manufacturer of flour milling and cereal processing equipment, has launched a universal cereal mill Optimatik K-15 in Kazakhstan, which is designed to produce cereals from wheat, barley, peas, corn and millet.
Additionally, the cereal shop was supplied with an aggregate UOK-2 cereal enrichment unit.
The plant’s capacity is about 15 tonnes per day for grain processing and depends on the type of cereal produced. The groats mill is fully automated and controlled by an operator from a central control panel.
“The installation of OLIS’s enrichment unit after the Optimik-K-15 groats mill allows us to produce premium millet. The technology and equipment used ensure that the output of the finished product meets the current standards. This gives the processor a competitive advantage compared to other small groats mills available on the market,” said Vladimir Cheglatonev, Commercial Director of OLIS LLC.
It is worth noting that this groats mill was the first to master the technology of lentil processing.
“Despite the fact that it was not planned to process lentils before the groats were delivered to the mill, and it became necessary during the launch, a batch of lentils was processed, with very good results. However, given the large number of impurities in lentils that differ in colour, it was decided to equip the line with a Zorky Sysort photo separator to control the quality of lentil groats,” added V. Cheglatonev.
It should be added that the OPTIMATIC K-15 plant with the UOC-2 cereal enrichment unit was delivered on a turnkey basis, complete with a supporting metal structure, hoppers, aspiration, pneumatic transport, electrical and automation. Thanks to the factory’s supervised assembly, it was possible to assemble and put it into operation in less than 5 days.
