IR analyzer PERTEN Inframatic 9500

Infrared analyzers PERTEN Inframatic 9500 / 8800 are designed for express analysis of moisture content, protein content, fat content, and other parameters in whole grain and seeds of cereals, legumes, oilseeds and some products of their processing.
Grain: corn, wheat, rye, triticale, barley, oats, soybeans, sunflower (ground), rapeseed, as well as: sorghum, lentils, lupine (IM 8800).
Milled products (IM 9500): graded flour (wheat and rye), whole grain flour.
The operating principle of the analyzer is based on the measurement by the detector of the amount of infrared light in a certain range (spectrum) of wavelengths, after its partial absorption by the sample of the analyzed product. The amount of light absorbed by the sample at different wavelengths is directly related to the concentration of chemical functional groups, such as C-H, O-H and N-H. Since the concentrations of functional groups are related to the concentration of chemical substances (water, protein, fat, fiber, etc.), it becomes possible to determine the content of these substances based on pre-established calibrations of the absorption spectra of similar product samples with reference values of quality indicators.
Refers to spectrometers with a scanning monochromator (IM 9500) or with a diode matrix (IM 8800), operating in the diffuse transmission mode of light in the wavelength range: 570-1100 nm – for the IM 9500 model, 850-1050 nm – for the IM 8800 model.
No need to grind grain.
Uses modern electronics and high-precision optical components.
It is possible to add calibration at the user’s request.
Option for IM 9500 (must be specified when placing an order):
- module for measuring the bulk density (natural) of grain;
- module for flour.
The Inframatic 8800 model is designed for mobile grain analysis in the field, therefore, instead of a moving monochromator, it is equipped with a diode matrix, dust- and moisture-proof.
Option for IM 8800:
- GPS module.
* Cuvettes 7 mm (rapeseed); 15 mm (sorghum); 20 mm (oats); 25 mm (corn, soybeans, lentils, lupine).
An 18 mm cuvette (wheat, rye, triticale, barley) is included in the basic package.
